Tiverton seeking state help to market and secure grant funding for industrial park

TIVERTON — Business people don’t want to develop land, not even their own. To attract industry, an industrial park has to be ready for them.

“Business people are completely occupied with their business,” Town Administrator Matthew Wojcik said. “They don’t want to grapple with a development project. They want pre-approved sites with utilities in the ground, ready to be connected.”

For the town’s industrial park to succeed, it will have to offer all of that, Wojcik said.

The town is hoping the state will help.
