Quonset board welcomes islander

A new face is representing the interests of Jamestowners at the Quonset Business Park.
The town councilors in December appointed Job Toll to a three-year term as the Jamestown representative on the Quonset Development Corporation board of directors. The seat was vacated in the new year because Jim Rugh reached his six-year term limit.
Toll, who has lived on Jamestown since 1982, said he applied for the board because of his long tenure in Rhode Island’s manufacturing industry. He recently retired as the quality-environmental manager at Arkwright Advanced Coating along the Pawtuxet River in Fiskeville. Toll said he is suited for the post because of his solid understanding of manufacturing and parts, along with his past dealings with the state’s environmental and transportation agencies.
